A wonderful and large weighty goldtone brooch from the creative imagination of Christian Lacroix, using one of his favourite motifs, the heart. It is in a lovely goldtone, hammered effect finish and is heartshaped with a central domed heart with a heart-shaped piercing.  3-D hearts! The surround is formed from regularly spaced curlicue shapes, 10 in total, cleverly using the banded edging. Signed 'CL' at the base of the heart. 

Fastened with a pin held in place with a C clasp.

Measurements

 The pin measures 3" across at its widest point and is 2.5" long (7.5cms X 6.25cms).

Signed on plaque on reverse of pin. From 1990's.
