The brooch has been named 'Polly Perch' and features a green, yellow and red wooden parrot above a medley of jewels; including a green/pink facetted crystal, five pieces of Paua shell, a dark green polished stone and five glass crystals.  The design elements have been set over black rein and embellished with a generous amount of multicoloured glitter, predominantly in green gold and blue hues.

Paua shell is often given to friends within Māori culture as the shells are thought to bring luck, prosperity and peace to the wearer.  This stunning brooch measures approximately 912 by 8 cm and weighs 55 g.  It can be attached using a gold coloured safety pin embedded in the resin on the reverse and will add character to any outfit.
